What is mental Health? And what is it’s significance:

The word "mental illness" refers to a broad category of conditions that can include signs that affect a person's thoughts, perceptions, emotions, or behavior. A person with a mental illness may find it challenging to handle their relationships, job, and other responsibilities. This mental illness can hamper one's personal as well as professional life. It can lead to the never ending negative thoughts to those circumstances which may not even exist. 


Although the exact nature of the connection between stress and mental disease is unknown, it is known that stress can make a mental illness harder. According to National Institute of Health ,suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death in 15-19 years old children.

Obsessive compulsive disorder:

One type of anxiety condition is obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Frequent, undesirable thoughts, ideas, or impulses are known as addictions. Compulsions are stressful, repeating behaviors that take a lot of time. A person can perform some repetitive acts or behaviors that he feels to perform obsessively.

Medication and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) are two forms of treatment.

Paranoia:

The unjustified and firm conviction that a person is "out to get you" is known as paranoia. These kinds of people feel the danger of being kidnapped by the outside people.

Schizophrenia, delusional (paranoid) disorder, and paranoid personality syndrome are among the illnesses that can cause paranoia.

Post-traumatic stress disorder:

A mental health disease known as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can arise in response to any stressful incident faced by a person. This can include physical or sexual assault, automobile accidents or other major mishaps, torture, war-related instances, or natural calamities like storms or wildfires.

Ways to keep your mental health in check:

Engaging in personal care can enhance an individual's mental well-being by decreasing the likelihood of sickness, boosting vitality, and handling stress.

Regular Exercise and Meditation: Three to five times a week, 45 minutes of exercise and meditation can greatly enhance mental health proven by research. Both activities can provide mental peace, satisfaction, and cure for the individual.

Strive for high-quality sleep: A 2021 analysis of several studies revealed that greater improvements in sleep duration were associated with bigger gains in an individual's mental well-being.

Seek constructive social relations: Creating and preserving deep bonds with others minimizes stress levels and can serve as a source of pleasure and useful assistance when needed. Speaking out what you are feeling exactly to the positive relations, can contribute to one’s mental well-being.

Engage in soothing activities: Writing down your thoughts, contributing to fitness programs, methods of breathing, yoga or reciting Quran can all help reduce anxiety and enhance mental well-being.
